Adopt Resolution #25-295 Authorizing the Purchase of Umbrellas, High-top Tables and Litter/Recycling Receptacles for The Waterfront Water Play Park Improvements 

Considerable progress on the water play project at The Waterfront continues, concurrent and following the appointment of H+U Construction as the construction manager for the project, who oversaw the completion of the mass grading of the site in November.  Similar to the prefab restroom building, the three shelters and other outdoor furnishings with the several-month production and delivery timeline—the 15 Umbrellas, 6 High-top Tables for the shelters and 9 Litter/Recycling Receptacles need to be ordered to ensure they are on site this Spring to match the project timeline.  

The first attachment details the items Resolution #25-295 authorizes for owner procurement, totaling $243,653. This is likely the last of the owner procured items for the project. The totality of the Plans and Specifications are being completed in December, and the project team is on schedule to solicit competitive bids on all the remaining project elements, and to present them for approval to the Council in January 2026 as a Guaranteed Maximum Price. 
 

All funding for the Umbrellas, High-top Tables and Litter/Recycling Receptacles is proposed to be paid through the Park Trust Fund, which has a present balance of approximately $11M.



 

Staff recommends Council authorize the purchase of Umbrellas, High-top Tables and Litter/Recycling Receptacles outlined in this case by adopting Resolution #25-295.
