Approve Amending City Council Meeting Schedule for 2026

Purpose: To amend the meeting schedule for the City Council due to the State Primary election in August falling on the same date as a regular City Council meeting, and to cancel the last regular meeting in December. 

If approved, the August 11, 2026, City Council meeting will be rescheduled to Monday, August 10, 2026, and the December 22, 2026, meeting will be canceled altogether, as has been done in the past. All other meetings would be scheduled in accordance with the normal calendar on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

If approved, all notifications will be updated to reflect the amended meeting dates.

Staff is recommending rescheduling the August 11, 2026, meeting to take place on Monday, August 10, 2026, and to cancel the December 22, 2026, meeting altogether, as has been done in the past. 

Motion to reschedule the August 11, 2026, City Council Work Session and Regular Meeting to Monday, August 10, 2026, and to cancel the December 22, 2026, City Council Work Session and Regular Meeting, with all other meetings to be scheduled in accordance with the normal calendar on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
