Title:
Approve Anoka County Threat Assessment Group Agreements
Purpose/Background:
The Anoka County Threat Assessment Group is a collaborative multidisciplinary group. Its members are comprised of representatives of law enforcement, social services, and a variety of organizations and government entities within Anoka County. The group exists as a resource for Anoka County law enforcement agencies and other agencies that work with situations involving persons who have been identified as being at high risk for serious targeted violence.
Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives:
This is a new group, and if approved, a Ramsey investigator is planned to attend the first meeting on February 26, 2026.
Funding Source:
Funding for this agreement will be provided through staff time to meet our areas of responsibility outlined in the attached agreements.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approving both of the attached agreements: the agency agreement and the member agreement/memorandum of understanding (MOU).

Outcome/Action:
Motion to approve entering into an agreement between the Ramsey Police Department and the Anoka County Threat Assessment Group, and for members of the Police Department to participate in this group.
