Conduct Fire Chief / Emergency Management Director and City Engineer Interviews

The purpose of this special work session is to conduct interviews for the positions of Fire Chief / Emergency Management Director and City Engineer.    

Background: Current Fire Chief / Emergency Management Director Matt Kohner is retiring in May and Public Works Director/City Engineer Bruce Westby is transitioning away from the dual role to become full-time as the City's Public Works Director. 

Interviews will include one finalist for both the Fire Chief / Emergency Management Director and the City Engineer positions.  Both candidates have passed first interviews with the management team and an extensive leadership assessment.  City staff will be on hand to provide additional information and answer questions.  Following the interview, the City Council will discuss the candidates and direct staff on the next steps in the process to fill the openings. 

Approximately 2.5 hours.
