Title:
Adopt Ordinance #26-10 Authorizing the City of Ramsey to Sell/Convey Parcel of Real Property
Purpose/Background:
As required by the City Charter, the City must pass an ordinance to declare and sell surplus City owned land. The purpose of this case is to adopt an ordinance to sell property owned by the City, as surplus City owned land, no longer needed for current or future City functions or Right of Way. The total number of parcels available sale is one (1) and is legally described at Tract B, Registered Land Survey No. 251. This parcel will likely be marketed/sold for development to an adjacent landowner, as it does not have access to Sunfish Lake Blvd. This parcel is currently not a buildable lot due to the topography, and existing stormwater and MPCA infrastructure.
Notification:
The draft Ordinance #26-10 will be posted at City Hall from May 12, 2026 - May 27, 2026 and published in the Anoka Union Herald Newspaper on May 29th, if adopted.
Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives:
City Charter requires the City Council to introduce and ultimately adopt the attached Ordinance #26-10 authorizing the City of Ramsey to sell/convey parcels of real property. This ordinance was introduced at the May 12, 2026 City Council Meeting and the Council will consider formal adoption of the ordinance at this meeting per the City Charter.

1. Approval of the ordinance as presented by staff.
2. Make modifications to the ordinance.
3. Recommend denial of the ordinance.
