Adopt Resolution #26-201 Awarding Construction Staking Contract for 2026 MSA Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #26-02
Purpose/Background:
Purpose:
The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #26-201 awarding a construction staking contract for 2026 MSA Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #26-02 to Hakanson Anderson Associates for the not-to-exceed amount of $8,300.00
Background:
On August 25, 2026, City Council adopted Resolution #26-195, awarding a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for 2026 MSA Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #26-02.
Construction staking is essential to the construction of said improvements, and city staff does not have the capacity to perform construction staking in-house.
Hakanson Anderson Associates submitted a proposal for construction staking of the proposed improvements for a total amount of $8,300.00.
City staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as part of staff’s normal duties.

Funding Source:
On August 25, 2026, City Council adopted Resolution #26-195 awarding a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for said overlay improvements in the total bid amount of $1,129,093.12. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 14-percent, the total project costs are estimated to be $1,287,166.16. Hakanson Anderson Associates has provided a construction staking proposal for a not-to-exceed amount of $8,300.00. Construction staking is included in the 14-percent indirect project costs. These costs are proposed to be funded using a combination of Municipal State Aid and Storm Water Utility Funds.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends adopting Resolution #26-201 awarding a construction staking contract for 2026 MSA Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #26-02 to Hakanson Anderson Associates for the not-to-exceed amount of $8,300.00.
