Title:
Adopt Resolution #26-212 authorizing final payment to North Valley, Inc. for Maintenance project #26-53, 2026 Skim Patching.
Purpose/Background:
Resolution and Pay Request attached.
Notification:
Final costs overran by 5% due to a small increase in the scope of work to allow additional pavement to be skim patched to ensure the pavement will remain serviceable until future repairs can be completed.
Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives:
Issuing final payment will be contingent on receipt of the following items from North Valley, Inc.
- IC134 (Contractor's Withholding Affidavit showing compliance with the provisions of Minnesota Statue 290.92 requiring withholding state income tax).
- Waiver of Mechanic's Lien Rights (Affidavits that all claims against North Valley, Inc. by reason of the contract have been fully paid or satisfactorily secured).
- Consent of Surety to Final Payment (Certification from the contractor's Surety).
Recommendation:
The Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, for said project, in the amount of $121,296.52.
Outcome/Action:
Motion to adopt Resolution #26-041 authorizing final payment to North Valley, Inc. for Maintenance project #26-53, 2026 Skim Patching.
