Title:
Review Article for Ramsey Resident Newsletter
Background:
At the July meeting, the Board requested that a standing item be included on future agendas for the Board to review content for a natural resources article to be included in the Ramsey Resident newsletter. The inaugural article is attached for review. Several questions were raised last month about column size and location in the newsletter. Staff has confirmed that a 1/2 page can be dedicated to the column in each newsletter issue. However, the specific location/page of the newsletter cannot be guaranteed. The column will always appear within the Public Notices portion of the newsletter, which is preceded by Finance information followed by public safety information. Thus, the actual placement of the column may not always be on the same page. Staff is working on development of an icon/graphic that can be associated with this column as well as on the Environmental Services web page to signify and create an identity for the environmental information.
Recommendation:
The Board should give consideration to the name of the column that will appear in each newsletter issue. The Board may also want to again consider certain topics that may be appropriate for upcoming columns.
EPB Action:
For discussion purposes, no specific action is needed.
