Background:
Local Government Officials Meeting
The quarterly Local Government Officials meeting is scheduled for tomorrow night, August 29, at Greenhaven Golf Course in Anoka. It is the annual picnic which will be served by the County Commissioners.
Primary Election Update
13.44 % of Ramsey’s registered voters voted in the Primary Election. Names on the General Ballot will be as follows:
Mayor: Bob Ramsey & Sarah Strommen
Councilmember at Large: Joe Field & John LeTourneau
Councilmember Ward 2: Mark Kuzma & Colin McGlone
Councilmember Ward 4: Wayne Buchholz & Chris Riley
Business Appreciation Event Update
There were 144 people golfing – 36 teams. There were 22 hole sponsors, gifts were donated by 8 companies, and dinner was provided by Wells Catering. Business of the Year award went to The Links at Northfork and they also won the tournament. Largest sponsor to note is Lifetime Fitness with their donation of exercise equipment.
City Offices Closed
City Offices will be closed on Monday, September 3 in honor of Labor Day. Regular business hours will resume at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4.
Happy Days
The City’s annual Happy Days Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 8 with the family bike tour scheduled for Sunday, September 9. Please note this is a week earlier than in the past. Visit the City’s website for details and/or contact City staff.
