Title:
Consider a Resolution to Hire an IT Specialist
Background:
As a result of the IT Manager's resignation, the City Council authorized staff to recruit for an IT Specialist. An internal recruitment was conducted, Mr. Jason Fredrickson applied for the position, was interviewed, and has passed the necessary pre-employment checks. Staff recommends hiring Mr. Fredrickson as the regular IT Specialist effective October 10, 2012 at $20.50 per hour, which is step 1 of the regular IT Specialist pay scale.
Recommendation:
To recommend approval of resolution # 12-10-XXX, which upon City Council approval, will authorize staff to Hire Jason Fredrickson as the regular IT Specialist at $20.50 per hour as of October 10, 2012.
Funding Source:
The funding for this position is estimated to be approximately $59,000 for the first year and is included in the City's budget.
Council Action:
Motion to approve resolution # 12-10-XXX, confirming the recommendation of the Personnel Committee, to Hire Jason Fredrickson as the regular IT Specialist at $20.50 per hour as of October 10, 2012.
