Title:
Attorney-Client Privileged Discussion Regarding a Personnel Matter
Background:
A closed meeting will be held for an attorney-client privileged discussion of threatened litigation against the City. The statutory basis for closing this meeting is Minnesota Statutes, section 13D.05, subd. 3(b). An attorney representing an individual, C.K., has threatened to bring suit against the City for alleged tortious conduct by city personnel. The purpose for closing the meeting is to discuss strategy for responding to this threat of a lawsuit.
Observations/Alternatives:
The City Council will meet with legal council to discuss a personnel matter. - This is an Attorney-Client Privileged Discussion and will be Closed to the Public as Allowed by Minnesota Statutes, Section 13D.05, Subd. 3(b)
