Environmental Expo Update

As of the writing of this case, there are three (3) confirmed exhibitors thus far for the expo event (Ace Solid Waste, Great River Energy Processing Plant, and Master Gardeners).  Additionally, Staff has had a verbal commitment from Home Depot to once again participate.  Also, it is Staff's understanding that the potential keynote speaker has yet to be confirmed.

Promotion of the expo event has already begun. An announcement for Happy Days, including the Environmental Expo, was included in a recent Star Tribune North Metro edition (under community events). Additionally, an article announcing that the expo was joining Happy Days will be appearing in the next issue of the Ramsey Resident newsletter. Finally, information specific to the Environmental Expo was included in an invitation to businesses to participate in Happy Days. As details are finalized, Staff will also begin to populate the website with more information.

The Happy Days committee has also inquired about possibly having a petting zoo as a part of the event. Staff is working with the Happy Days committee liaison on this particular matter to see if something could be worked out.

Finally, a draft of five (5) survey questions, developed by the Subcommittee, have been attached for review by the Board.  The Subcommittee has requested that everyone review the draft questions and be prepared to provide feedback on the questions or provide alternate questions for consideration.
