Discussion on Next Steps of Fire Station #2 Replacement

Purpose of tonight's topic is to discuss next steps and timeline of the replacement fire station #2. Bruce Schwartzman of BKV will be at the meeting to provide technical info on the process of designing and building a Fire Station.

Current CIP shows construction in 2014. Realistically if the decision is to move ahead with the project, a construction timeline of 2015 may be more realistic. The Architect attending the meeting can go through the timeline from design to build.

This topic is for discussion only. Funding sources will be discussed as the "proposed" project moves ahead.

The Fire Chief will act as the primary contact, although Finance and City Administrator will also be involved during the entire project cycle.

The desired outcomes of tonight's discussion are to give the Council a better understanding of the Fire Station 2 project, and to give staff direction to continue to move forward with the next steps.
