Recognition of Boy Scout Troop #204

Mayor Strommen was contacted by Doug Gerick, Leader of Boy Scout Troop #204.  Mr. Gerick is teaching a merit badge class called "Citizenship in the Community" to some of the Scouts in his Troop.  This merit badge is designed to teach the Scouts about their community and how they can be engaged and productive citizens.  As a part of this class, Scouts are required to attend a community meeting to learn about the types of issues that come up, how they are discussed, and how decisions are made.  Because most of the Scouts live in Ramsey, they have chosen to attend the Ramsey City Council meeting of November 12.  There will be 10 or more Scouts in attendance, all in uniform, and accompanied by additional adults/parents. They will be present for about the first hour of the meeting.

Mayor Strommen will recognize Mr. Gerick and the Scouts of Troop #204 and ask them to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
