Title:
Strategic Planning Update
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: To give the Council an update on the Strategic Plan created in 2013.
Background: Early in 2013, the City Council and the City's Management Team spent several meetings developing a three-year strategic action plan for the City of Ramsey. In January, 2014, the City's Management Team met to determine where we are at with regard to the plan - asking the questions - are we on schedule - are we moving forward - are we getting what we need to get the job done, and what tasks may need to be added.
Attached to this case is an updated Appendix E which includes the four Strategic Imperatives under which are listed the strategic initiative, department, tactics, initiation date, completion date, additional resources required, additional tools required, responsible party, and key outcome indicators/metrics. Staff reviewed the document line by line and determined the status as well as made some amendments. The document attached has the amendments in red type. Generally, the work plan remains in tact, with modifications made to reflect work completed in 2013. However, the work plan for the EDA has now been brought forward into this document for 2014.
Also attached is the Balanced Scorecard as an amendment (also in red type) was made to that document as well.
