Title:
Resolution Requesting Anoka County HRA Support for Affordable Housing Development
Purpose/Background:
At tonight's 4/22 HRA meeting the HRA will continue to consider an LOI from a regional affordable housing developer. Based on discussions in closed session on 4/8 regarding this same LOI, a possible funding mechanism was identified. That funding mechanism is the Anoka County HRA. The Anoka County HRA levies Ramsey residents annually. That levy can be used to help in funding certain development projects within the City of Ramsey. The City of Ramsey HRA, should the HRA desire utilizing the Anoka County HRA Fund, must pass a resolution requesting the support of the Anoka County HRA for specific projects.
Please note; no decision has been made. The City of Ramsey HRA will continue considering the LOI tonight (4/22). This Resolution was crafted in preparation of a possible motion to utilize Anoka County HRA funds. If the Ramsey HRA decides not to accept the LOI and move forward with negotiating a purchase agreement, this Resolution is void.
