Title:
Update on GreenStep Cities Status
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to provide a brief update on the status of the GreenStep Cities program. This topic, along with the draft Guiding Principles that the Board developed, was discussed at the April 8, 2014 City Council Work Session. The City Council again discussed whether this program would add value to the City or not. While there was not full consensus, direction was given to bring back a resolution to consider participating in the GreenStep Cities program at a future City Council meeting. It is Staff's intent to bring this resolution forward for consideration at the City Council's May 13, 2014 regular meeting.
