Schedule Canvassing Board for Friday, August 15, 2014
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: To schedule the meeting to Canvass the local results of the Primary Election.
Background: Councilmembers must meet following each election to canvass the local results. The State of Minnesota does not give us any options with regard to the date the Primary Canvassing can be done - that date is Friday, August 15. We do, however, have flexibility with regard to the scheduled time. The meeting should take only about 5 minutes - and it appears the morning would work best for most. Therefore, staff is scheduling the meeting to canvass the votes of the 2014 Primary Election at 8:00 a.m., Friday, August 15. We will meet in The COR room.
