Title
Adopt Resolution #14-11-243 to Hire Temporary Snow Plow Drivers
Purpose/Background:
Annually the City employs Temporary Snow Plow Drivers to assist in snow removal. The process to employ snow plow drivers includes an open competitive recruitment, interviews, verifying qualifications and backgrounds, training, and assigning plow routes; all under the direction of the Public Works Superintendent.
Funding Source:
The funding required to hire temporary snow plow drivers is included within the snow and ice removal approved budget.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends hiring Craig Blake, Daniel Greer, Daneil Pfeifer, Trevor Beres, and Adam Gordan as Temporary Snow Plow Drivers, all at $12.00 per hour.
Action:
Motion to adopt resolution #14-11-243 to hire Craig Blake, Daniel Greer, Daneil Pfeifer, Trevor Beres, and Adam Gordan as Temporary Snow Plow Drivers at $12.00 per hour, effective November, 10, 2014.
