Title:
Adopt Resolution #11-04-XXX Recognizing Mark Fisher for His Induction into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame
Background:
Mark Fisher, a 23-year resident of Anoka County (Nowthen), was inducted into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as a Legendary Communicator on April 3, 2011. Mr. Fisher has co-hosted the radio program Bear Facts and Fish Tales which broadcasts from Ramsey via BOB FM 106. He has won the BASS invitational and has appeared on numerous television programs. He also dedicates his personal time to numerous charitable causes including, but not limited to, YMCA youth fishing programs and charitable fishing tournaments for St. Jude's Hospital and Minnesota Teen Challenge. The Ramsey City Council would like to adopt the attached resolution recognizing, commending, and congratulating Mr. Fisher for his induction into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.
It is anticipated Mr. Fisher will be present at the Council meeting. A verbal presentation to Mr. Fisher will be made by Mayor Ramsey following adoption of the Consent Agenda.
