Title:
Discussion Regarding the 2017- 2018 Union Contract Negotiations for AFSCME, LELS-Patrol and LELS-Sergeants (Portions of the Discussion May be Closed to the Public)
Purpose/Background:
Staff have held several meetings with all three groups and will provide the City Council with a detailed update regarding each of the groups' proposals.
Per Minnesota Statutes 13D.03, which states: "The governing body of a public employer may by a majority vote in a public meeting decide to hold a closed meeting to consider strategy for labor negotiations, including negotiation strategies or developments or discussion and review of labor negotiation proposals, conducted pursuant to sections
179A.01 to 179A.25" staff is requesting that the City Council go into closed session to discuss the City's labor negotiations strategy for its three union contracts covering January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018.
