Joint Meeting - City Council and Park and Recreation Commission

The purpose of this topic report is to identify items for discussion between Council and the Commission, that are not already on the agenda for this work session (May 9th, 2017).  Depending on the need, a subject could be discussed or highlighted at this time, or a more timely discussion could be scheduled; (E.g. the Master Parks Plan, late in the year when the planning endeavor begins to take shape, or in the case of the Capital Improvement Plan for parks and trails—also later in 2017 when the CIP is drafted for 2018-2023).

5 minutes, based upon discussion, then move on to the other topics that will be discussed by the Council and Commission this evening including:

• Joint Discussion with the Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association
• Update on Recreation Programming for 2017
• Consider Policy on Favoring Larger Community and Neighborhood Parks Over Small 'Pocket Parks'
• Status of the City of Ramsey Foundation's support of The Draw Summer Event Series
