Presentation by Metropolitan Council

Purpose:  To receive a presentation by the Metropolitan Council - Chair Alene Tchourumoff and Council Member Ed Reynoso.

Background:  Earlier this evening, in lieu of the regular Council Work Session, the City Councilmembers, along with representatives of City Commissions and City staff participated in a mobile tour with members of the Metropolitan Council, making various stops throughout the City of Ramsey.  The Metropolitan Council Members have done several municipal tours over the past year to learn about specific wins/challenges of each city in the metropolitan area.  The tour in Ramsey gives an opportunity for the Metropolitan Council to learn more about the City's future goals and to see how the Metropolitan Council might be a helpful partner.  Confirmation was received that Metropolitan Council Chair Alene Tchourumoff and Metropolitan Council Member Ed Reynoso would be present.  The Metropolitan Council has also invited Council Members adjacent North Metro District Council Members Lona Schreiber and Marie McCarthy to attend.
