Recognition and Presentation to Valentina Kostenko. 2018 Mrs. Anoka County International, by Mayor Strommen

Purpose:  To recognize Valentina Kostenko, named Mrs. Anoka County International.

Background:  Staff received notice that Valentina Kostenko, a Ramsey resident, has been named 2018 Mrs. Anoka County International and will represent our community at the 2018 Mrs. Minnesota Pageant, where she will compete for a grand prize package and the opportunity to represent Minnesota at the 2018 Mrs. International pageant.  The Mrs. International Pageant system recognizes women for their commitment to family, profession and community stewardship.  Throughout the year, she will not only compete for the State crown, but will also be available to speak on her eating disorder platform, make appearances, do special presentations and assist with civic and non-profit oriented projects.  Mayor Strommen will present Mrs. Kostenko with her official banner at this evening's meeting, as well as award her a certificate of recognition on behalf of the City..
