Title
Adopt Resolution #17-11-294 Approving the 2018 LELS Captain Contract
Purpose/Background:
The City of Ramsey has been in negotiations with its licensed police captains in an effort to settle a first year contract. The City and LELS have reached a tentative agreement on all articles within the attached contract.
Funding Source:
The funding required to settle the LELS Captains 1-year contract is within the 2018 preliminary budget. No additional funding is required to settle the contract; however, the market rate adjustment necessary to bring the captains to the average of their positions' comparable market will be funded by a savings realized by other Police Department personnel savings.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approving the LELS Captains 1-year labor agreement.
Action:
Motion to adopt resolution 17-11-294 to settle the one-year labor agreement with the LELS-Captains group.
