Title:
Adopt Resolution #19-031 Regarding the Support of a Job Creation Fund Application in Connection with Vision Ease LP
Purpose/Background:
Vision Ease LP approached the City and asked for support of its Job Creation Fund application to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Vision Ease located in Ramsey in 1996 and is one of the largest employers in the community. Vision Ease is working on a project that would result in investment of over 23M in the existing facility and create 200 new jobs in Ramsey. If a JCF award is granted to Vision Ease, LP, they would receive a rebate payment from the state for each job created and maintained over a 5 year period based on the wage level of the job. Staff has been working closely with Vision Ease LP to complete the JCF application.

Recommendation:
Staff recommends adoption of attached resolution in support of the JCF application and authorization to sign it.
