Happy Days Event Layout

At last month’s meeting Chandra Kreyer expressed concern regarding the security of the event. Her comment about it being harder to police the event if it is spread out resulted in the new layout for the Happy Days Event.

As you can see, we have moved almost everything inside the park area, all except the Craft Fair/Business Expo and the Farmer’s Market. We are suggesting the Car Show be moved to the street. This will allow more space for the Farmer’s Market, allowing the farmers to have more space for their vehicles. With the car show along the street, it connects the Food Vendors and Kid’s Events with the Craft Fair/Business Expo and the Farmer’s Market. We are still proposing the Port-a-Potties to be along the sidewalk along Sunwood Drive making it even more connected.

Another reason for the change is the easy of clean up after the event. With the Main Stage in the park there is no need to have picnic tables in the street. This means that Sunwood Drive could be opened up much quicker that before. This layout also allows for a better view of the Main Stage from the Bon Fire and the Bingo Tent.
