Adopt Resolution #19-058 Granting a One (1) Year Extension to the Final Plat and Site Plan Approval for Regency Commons and National Self Storage at the Northeast Corner of Bunker Lake Boulevard and Ramsey Boulevard (Project No. 16-108); Case of Troy Halverson

In February of 2017, the City Council approved the Final Plat for Regency Commons and a Site Plan for National Self Storage.  The Plat and Site Plan were for property located at the northeast corner of Bunker Lake Boulevard and Ramsey Boulevard (the "Subject Property").  Per City Code, Final Plat approvals are valid for two (2) years while Site Plan approvals are valid for one (1) year.  In February of 2018, the City Council granted a one (1) year extension for the Site Plan for National Self Storage.

The Applicant, Troy Halverson, is attempting to sell the project and has a contract for the sale in place, with an anticipated closing date of February 28, 2019.  The Final Plat will likely not be recorded before it would expire and the improvements associated with the Site Plan will not be completed by the end of February either.  Therefore, legal counsel for the Applicant has submitted a written request for a one (1) year extension of the approvals for both the Final Plat and Site Plan.

Notification is not required.

All costs associated with this request are the responsibility of the Applicant.

Staff is supportive of granting a one (1) year extension to the approvals of both the Final Plat for Regency Commons and the Site Plan for National Self Storage.
