Annual Strategic Planning

Each year, the City Council and city leadership staff review the city's strategic plan and make updates as necessary.  The City reviewed the current Strategic Plan at a work session on February 12, and had a follow-up work session on February 19 to review the organizational values, vision, mission, and objectives.

Staff was directed to prepare strategies to be used to obtain the organizational objectives for review at this work session.

Staff will be finalizing strategies on Monday, March 11, at which time they will be sent to the Council and added to this packet.  The previous strategies (see attached existing Strategic Plan) will be examined by staff, and refined to best fit the revised objectives developed by the Council and staff at the last meeting.  Once these strategies are completed and agreed upon by the Council, it is expected that action items will be developed in order to specify the priorities for action in the coming year.  The development of the action items will be a separate exercise and not addressed this evening.
