Discuss 2016 DRAFT Legislative Platform
Purpose/Background:
Purpose:
Review and amend the attached draft 2016 City of Ramsey Legislative Platform.
Background:
Annually, the City of Ramsey drafts and adopts a Legislative Platform. This document includes a list of Legislative priorities specifically related to the City of Ramsey. Upon adoption by the City Council, Ramsey's Legislative Platform will be forwarded to County, State and Federal elected officials. Additionally, this document will be used internally by Staff as a supplemental workplan for 2016.
Next Steps:
Staff will bring forward a final Legislative Platform February 08, 2016. Staff intends on inviting Representative Abigail Whalen to worksession (for a Legislative Update and dialog regarding Ramsey's Legislative Platform). This document will also be located on the regular session meeting agenda for formal adoption.
