ACTION REQUESTED:
Resolution 24-XX: Condemnations - Consider recommending the adoption of Resolution 24-XX: the Resolution shall require the removal or demolition of one (1) dilapidated structure.

These structures constitute a public nuisance harmful to the public health, safety and general welfare.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION:
Resolution and notice will be served to owners requiring action within fifteen (15) days. Demolition by the City will proceed if no action is taken and a lien will be placed on the property for cost ranging from $3,000 to $30,000 for each property for removal.
LEGAL REVIEW:
The City Attorney has reviewed the current resolution. Resolutions must be adopted by a majority vote of the entire City Council.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
Public Safety Committee will be the first to hear this item at their meeting on November 19, 2024.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Code Enforcement recommends approval of Resolution 24-XX.
