ACTION REQUESTED:
Authorization for approval to issue a purchase order in the amount of $1,470,000.00 for the purchase of two (2) Class-A HME pumpers from Municipal Emergency Services. (Corn/Fuller)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Daniel Fuller
During the October 2024 flooding, the fire department lost three (3) Class A pumpers. Utilizing funding from the insurance, we are looking to replace two units. We are currently operating out of reserve units that are dated and are out of NFPA compliance for frontline engines. The purchase of these two apparatus will allow our frontline fleet to be NFPA compliant for pumper coverage.

$1,470,000 from insurance payment, fund- 11014121-817506 Capital vehicles- pending transfer of funds
LEGAL REVIEW:
Being reviewed by City of Roswell Legal Department.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
Finance Committee voted 5-0 at the February 6th meeting.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Recommends authorization for approval to issue a purchase order in the amount of $1,470,000.00 for the purchase of two (2) Class-A HME pumpers from Municipal Emergency Services.
