ACTION REQUESTED:
Discussion of Country Club Reservoirs Project
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Louis Najar
There are two 7.5 million gallons each concrete tank reservoirs located on West Country Club. The reservoirs were built in 1968. The scope of work is clean, prep, and recoat the interior and exterior of each reservoir. The tanks are approximately 210’ diameter by 24’ height. Access is through the roof with only 3’ x 3’ manway access. All work on the inside is considered confined space, and lifting/hoisting is by scaffolding systems and hand pulleys.
The first reservoir being worked on, is the south reservoir. These are twin reservoirs so all challenges will likely be encountered in the north reservoir. The largest challenges are: piping inside the tank, the hard water calcium build up and the exterior plumbing control of the water transmission system.
