2025 CDBG discussion
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Louis Najar
CDBG Hearings are to be held May 28, 2025 & June 6, 2025 as part of a regular CDBG solicitation of ideas from the public. Southeastern New Mexico Economic District is presenting CDBG guideline at these hearings.
After the hearings any projects requested would then come back to Infrastructure Committee, Finance Committee and City Council for final resolution support. City Council has final authority to recommend or not recommend any CDBG application process.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION:
Typical project is $750k with a 10% match from local entity. If requests are for sidewalks, then match would be taken from yearly Sidewalk Line Item to leverage for more sidewalk money.
