Consider recommending approval to issue a purchase order in the amount of $86,526.03 to Code 3 Services for the purchase and installation of radio equipment necessary for ambulance communications. (Bunch)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Randy Bunch
As part of the planned implementation of the Roswell Fire Department (RFD) ambulance transport service, it is critical that each ambulance be fully outfitted with mobile and portable radio equipment. This will ensure direct and reliable communication with City of Roswell Dispatch, receiving hospitals, and other responding agencies. Effective and immediate communication is essential for coordinating emergency response, ensuring firefighter and paramedic safety, and delivering high-quality patient care.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the request to proceed with the purchase and installation of radios necessary for ambulance operations. Radios are a critical infrastructure component and are required to ensure the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of EMS transport services.
