ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of the Roswell Invasion's Crash and Clash Wrestling Tournament Lodgers' Tax Funding Request for $2,500 for marketing sanitation and security with the City of Roswell. (Corn/Conyers)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: TJ Conyers
From their application: This tournament is held at Roswell High School at the end of the High School Rio Hondo Tournament. All planning and preparation is taken care of by the Roswell Invasion Wrestling Club. Wrestlers come in on Saturday for official weigh-ins prior to the start of the Novice tournament on Saturday evening and the qualifier tournament on Sunday.

- Requested $5,000 in Lodgers' Tax sponsorship.
LEGAL REVIEW:
None at this time. The Legal Department will review the sponsorship agreement before signatures are collected.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
The Occupancy Tax Board recommended (5-0) to award Roswell Invasion Crash and Clash Wrestling Tournament $5,000 in sponsorship at their July 22, 2025, meeting. The Finance Committee recommended approval 5-0 to award $2,500 for marketing, sanitation, and security at its meeting on August 7, 2025.
