Approval of the Scope of Work for RFP: Prefabricated Modular Hold Room Facility at the Roswell Air Center. (Thompson)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Bobbi Thompson
The City of Roswell seeks to solicit proposals from qualified vendors to design, deliver, and install a prefabricated modular hold room facility at the Roswell Air Center (ROW). The project is required to meet TSA specifications, ADA standards, and all FAA and airport security regulations, providing a turnkey, fully operational facility ready for immediate use.
The proposed facility will accommodate seating for 120 passengers and include two unisex restrooms with ADA-compliant stalls, carpeted flooring, and a podium-style counter for airline check-in or gate operations. The structure will also include an HVAC system, TSA-approved entry and emergency exit doors, and a CCTV security system integrated with the existing terminal's secure area.
The modular facility must be constructed to connect securely to the existing terminal and comply fully with TSA, FAA, and ADA design and security requirements. Upon completion, the project will expand passenger capacity and ensure continued compliance with federal standards for commercial airline service.
