ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of scope of work for the Children's Garden/Jardín de Niños, allow donated funds to be moved and spent from the Roswell Public Library's appropriate budget account and to go out for bid when funds are available. (Johnson/Costley)
BACKGROUND:

The City of Roswell awarded professional services to Studio 27 for a complete set of engineer-designed plans for developing and constructing an outdoor early childhood play and learning area (now known as the Children's Garden /Jardín de Niños. To include, but not limited to, full site design, including topographic survey, excavation, earthwork and grading, irrigation and ADA accessibility, full site designs and details required to pursue construction funding, advertise, bid, and construction needs.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION
Project will be paid for with donations gifts and grants.
LEGAL REVIEW:
The Legal Department is reviewing the final plans.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
The project was presented to the Infrastructure Committee meeting on November 11, 2025. The committee members voted 5-0 to approve the scope of work for the Children's Garden/Jardín de Niños and to go out for bid when funds are available. The Finance Committee recommended approval by a vote of 5-0 at its December 4, 2025, meeting.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Consider approval of the scope of work for the Children's Garden/ Jardín de Niños. Allow donated funds to be moved and spent out of the appropriate account. To go out for a bid when funds are available.
