ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval for a permanent change to the floor plan of a licensed premises for Walmart Stores East, LP d\b\a Walmart Supercenter #611 located at 4500 N. Main Street, Roswell, NM 88201. (Corn/Nairn-Mahan)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Walmart Stores East, LP d\b\a Walmart Supercenter #611
Walmart Stores East, LP, d/b/a Walmart Supercenter #611, holder of Dispenser License No. DIS?000038, has submitted an application to the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department, Alcoholic Beverage Control Division, requesting approval for a permanent expansion/change of the approved floor plan at the licensed premises located at 4500A N. Main Street, Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico. The proposed change consists of an expansion of 4,180 square feet, increasing the total licensed premises from 203,602 square feet to 207,782 square feet. The added area will be utilized solely by Walmart associates for the preparation and processing of online pickup and delivery orders. The applicant has affirmed that no alcohol will be stored, sold, served, or dispensed in the additional space, and that the existing approved alcohol sales area will remain unchanged. The proposed expansion does not result in a change of street address, does not increase the licensed premises by twenty?five percent (25%) or more, does not bring the premises within 300 feet of a church or school, and does not involve any change in ownership or operation of the licensee. The request is submitted for local governing body review and approval pursuant to applicable provisions of the New Mexico Alcoholic Beverage Control Act and the New Mexico Administrative Code governing permanent changes or expansions to licensed premises.
