Consider recommendation of Resolution 26-XX for support of application to the New Mexico Department of Finance for possible Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding application. (MacCornack)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: James MacCornack
City of Roswell has begun the initial steps of an application to the New Mexico Department of Finance for a possible Community Development Block Grant project. Two public meetings will be held. The intent is to seek funding for small diameter water line replacements. Proposed project budget is up to $2,000,000 total project cost, with a 10% match requirement.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION:
This is for project application support. If awarded, a budget adjustment would be required. Proposed project budget would require a 10% match of up to $200,000
LEGAL REVIEW:
Resolution has been submitted to City Attorney for review.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
Infrastructure Committee on June 15th, 2026 voted (3-0) to recommend this item to July 2026 Finance Committee.
