ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of a budget adjustment of $50,000.00 for the plan and design of the Roswell First Response Center. (Gass/Halvorson)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Councilor Halvorson
The Roswell Police Department requests the consideration of a budget adjustment of $500,000.00 for a new headquarters for the Roswell Police Department. This will be called the Roswell First Responder Center. Once approved, we will seek an RFP and open it for RFB. The Roswell Police Department will chair and establish a committee to assist with the design, planning and construction of this new facility and oversight of the project.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION
Budget adjustment of $50,000.00 from the regular budget and not public safety tax.
LEGAL REVIEW:
Legal will review upon request.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
This item was presented to the Public Safety Committee on June 16, 2026. The Committee voted 3-1 to refer the item to the Finance Committee for its review and recommendation. The Finance Committee recommended approval 5-0 at its meeting on July 1, 2026.
