ACTION REQUESTED:

Approve the purchase of one 2025 F-Series 4x4 Brush Truck utilizing HGAC Contract #AM10-23 for the amount of $285,000 to Medic Built, LLC. (Chavez)

BACKGROUND:

The Roswell Fire Department is requesting approval to purchase one 2025 F-Series 4x4 Brush Truck to maintain fleet reliability and operational readiness. The apparatus will be assigned to Station 3 and will respond to wildland and brush fire incidents within the City of Roswell while also providing mutual aid assistance to Chaves County when requested.

This apparatus is identified in the Fire Department's current three- to five-year apparatus replacement plan and will enhance the department's ability to safely and effectively respond to wildland fire incidents. The department's existing brush truck fleet is aging, and this purchase will continue the planned modernization of the fleet following the acquisition of a new brush truck for Station 1 last year.

Upon completion of the purchase, the City will submit the required documentation to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for reimbursement through the department's approved flood recovery funding. Approval of this purchase is necessary to initiate the reimbursement process.
