ACTION REQUESTED:
The Roswell Police Department request approval to create two (2) additional RTCC operators.
BACKGROUND:
The Roswell Police Department requests two additional RTCC operators to help cover day shift hours. The schedule will be expanded from 7 am to 2 am coverage. Currently, the RTCC only covers from 4 pm to 2 am, seven days a week. If granted, RTCC will cover seven days a week for 19 hours a day, doubling our coverage. Currently, the only available drone operators during the day are Sgt. Wrenn and Lieutenant Fry. Both have many tasks at the Police Department and are rarely available when officers are in need of drones. By creating these positions, we can guarantee there is an operator available during the peak hours of the day. All RTCC employees will report to that shift Sergeant on duty as their immediate supervisor.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION:
RTCC operators will start on pay grade 36, step 1 at $19.0676/hour.
