CHAIR:

ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of the reallocation of funds in the amount of $563,617.19 that was originally allocated for the purchase of a new side-load truck. (Gass/Chaparro)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated By: Abraham Chaparro
The Solid Waste Department was originally allocated $563,617.19 to purchase a new Battle truck from Bond Equipment. In talking with Bond to get a quote for the truck for this year, the department was informed that there was no delivery date for the vehicle and that it would not come this fiscal year at all. In talks with the Collection Supervisor, it was agreed that for the trucks that are remaining, we would instead do a rebuild for them to last longer.
