Consider the approval to purchase 3 Chevrolet Tahoes from Melloy Chevrolet utilizing state price agreement: 40-00000-24-00068
These units will be purchased utilizing state fire funds from the 2265 account.

BACKGROUND:
As vehicles accumulate mileage and years of service, maintenance costs increase, reliability decreases, and the risk of service interruptions grows. Replacing the aging fleet keeps vehicles under warranty and ready for emergency response.
These units have great 4-wheel drive capability with 4wd shift on-the-fly capability. These units have a higher ground clearance and are far more capable of reaching remote areas.
Two options with the vehicles that are being retired:
- we can work to distribute them to another city department.
- Trade them in for credit to reduce the total price.
