WELCOME! We are very glad you have joined us for the Roswell City Council meeting. If you wish to speak, please sign up at the podium prior to 6:00 p.m. In compliance with Resolution 24-23, all matters listed under Consent Items/Consent Agenda are considered routine by the City Council and will be approved by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items. If any member of the council desires to discuss the matter, that item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be considered separately. Any item approved as part of the consent agenda is not an agenda item for the purpose of public participation. The Council is pleased to hear relevant comments; however, a 3-minute limit is set in accordance with Resolution 17-65 (Governing Body Rules of Order). Large groups are asked to name a spokesperson. Hold a public hearing and vote on Zoning Case 24-017 CANN (Cannabis) entailing a request to approve a Variance to R-S Rural Suburban residential distance requirements, Zone Change to floating zone CCAN (Commercial Cannabis), and Conditional Use Permit to operate an adult-use retail cannabis establishment in the C-2 Community Commercial Zoning District at 3606 N Main Street, Suite 500. Ordinance 24-23: Hold a public hearing on proposed Ordinance 24-23 for emergency loan funding from the New Mexico Environment Department for sewer repairs required after the historical flooding disaster in October 2024. (Corn/MacCornack)
NEW BUSINESS / REGULAR ITEMS

Approval to authorize College Investments, located at 414 East College Avenue, to enter into a (1) year lease agreement beginning January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025 with an automatic renewal for a second year, ending on December 31, 2026, if funding is provided by the Roswell Governing Body. Consider approval of Mayor Jennings's nomination for the Roswell City Council Ward 3 vacancy. (Heldenbrand/Yntema)

Approval of Mayor Jennings's appointment recommendation to the Roswell Museum Board of Trustees. Katie Huebner - Position 8 (Partial 1st Term January 9, 2025 – March 31, 2025).
