SUMMARY/BACKGROUND:
Andrea Dahlman Lewkowitz, Agent, filed a Multi-License Acquisition of Control application on behalf of Walgreens Arizona Drug Co. to include a liquor license location within the Town of Prescott Valley. The subject premise is Walgreens #06666, located at 2880 N. Centre Court, Prescott Valley, Arizona 86314 which currently holds an active Series 10 Beer and Wine Store Liquor License.
Pursuant to A.R.S. § 4-203(F), the local governing body may provide a recommendation either in favor of or against the acquisition of control within sixty (60) days of receiving notice. The requirements of A.R.S. § 4-201 do not apply; therefore, a public hearing is not required. If the recommendation is against acquisition of control the matter would be set for a hearing before the Arizona State Liquor Board.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Motion to recommend approval of the Acquisition of Control application for Walgreens #06666 (2880 N Centre Court, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314) to the Arizona Department of Liquor License & Control. VOTE.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Town staff recommends that the Town Council recommend approval of the Acquisition of Control application for Walgreens #06666 (2880 N Centre Court, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314).
FISCAL ANALYSIS:
Transaction privilege tax revenues are expected to be generated from sales.
