It is anticipated that major improvements will be needed to the Town’s wastewater treatment plant in the near future, including work to increase the capacity of the plant. An update on the status of the current Master Planning effort will be presented to the Town Council at the August 6 Study Session. Because a general familiarity with the plant (and an understanding of its functions and processes) may be useful in those discussions, a site visit and tour of the plant is being offered by Town staff (including staff of the private contractor that operates the plant). Topics presented and discussed may include the Master Planning effort, the recently completed Aeration Study for the plant’s biological processes, and treatment plant needs and issues.
