Discussion and possible action to approve property settlement and release agreement with The Hartford Insurance on behalf of Luis Fernando Diaz for $1,926.09 as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on March 22, 2024 on Hwy 59 and Bob Bullock Loop 20, Laredo, Texas and any other matters incident thereto. [Executive Session may be requested pursuant to Texas Government Code, Title 5, Subchapter D, Section 551.071 (1)(A)(Consultation with Attorney regarding pending settlement offer)]

Issue: A two-vehicle minor collision involving Sheriff motor vehicle unit #27-475 (2023 Chevrolet Tahoe) and a (2020 Chevrolet Silverado) Pearce Renewables Energy Company motor vehicle driven by Luis Fernando Diaz, damage sustained on both vehicles. The County was not at fault. 

Solution: To approve the property settlement regarding the Sheriff's motor vehicle unit #27-475.

Result: Once property settlement is approved, Webb County, as claimant, will release Pearce Renewables Energy Company (Luis Fernando Diaz) and their insurance (The Hartford) for all property claims regarding unit #27-475.
