Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of Microsoft SQL Licenses from SHI pursuant to Sections 271.101 and 271.102, Texas Local Government Code, Cooperative Purchasing program DIR-CPO-5237 in the amount of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Ninety-Nine Dollars and Twenty Cents ($115,099.20) and to further authorize a budget amendment from the I.T.’s Department Account #1001-1280-001-443000-110 (Software Repairs and Maintenance) to the I.T.'s Department Capital Outlay Account #1001-1280-001-470000 and/or any other sub-accounts deemed necessary by the Auditor’s Office.
Issue: Licenses are required to upgrade Webb County’s primary database servers.
Solution: Purchasing the recommended software.
Result: Judicial, Jail Management, and enterprise applications will continue to operate at an optimal level.
